In this episode Danny and Lyle discuss the recent events in Orlando, Florida at Disney world and the snatching of a 2 yr old toddler by an alligator; and the killing of a Gorilla by zoo officials in Cincinnati after a child fell into the enclosure. Danny and Lyle discuss culpability and how these events could be avoided.
In the Florida case, Danny and Lyle both agree that Disney did not do enough to warn the patrons of the possible dangers at the Grand Floridian and the alligators that may be present. In an extremely unfortunate series of events a toddler is dead and a family is devastated. If more appropriate warnings had been given…this may have been averted.
In the Cincinnati case however, Lyle believes the mother should be held responsible for the death of the Gorilla and the lack of control over her child. Danny believes, like the Florida case, that it was an unfortunate series of events led to the tragedy and that no one is at fault. After listening to the podcast, you decide.
